Nicklas Bendtner: 'I will not return to Arsenal'

Nicklas Bendtner has repeated his wish not to return to Arsenal.

The striker, who is currently on loan at Sunderland, fell out of favour at the Emirates Stadium last season after a lack of first-team opportunities.

"As I have said before, I will not return to Arsenal," said Bendtner.

"I never really got the chance and then I was unfortunate with injuries. But now I will hopefully have a good season at Sunderland and with a fantastic European Championship ahead, it looks positive.

"I want to play in the Champions League."

Sunderland resume their Premier League duties next weekend when they host Fulham.
