Arsenal's Mikel Arteta certain of additions

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has insisted that the Gunners will strengthen their squad this summer.

The London outfit have only acquired Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer, but it is believed that manager Arsene Wenger has in the region of £70m to spend on new players.

"If the club can target players who will improve the team, they are going to be very welcome because that is what we want — a better team, better players to compete and win trophies," Arteta told the Evening Standard.

"The club is working on that. It is in their hands and I am sure they are going to do it."

Arsenal have been widely linked with a move for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez this summer.
