Arsenal youngster to join Reading

Arsenal teenager Benik Afobe is expected to join Reading on loan for the rest of the season.

The England Under-19 international has apparently been targeted by Royals boss Brian McDermott, who is looking to add another striker to his squad.

Afobe has yet to play a senior game for the Gunners but manager Arsene Wenger is keen for him to sample some first-team football, according to Sky Sports News.

His previous loan spell at Huddersfield Town resulted in Afobe scoring five times in 28 appearances.
