Arsenal are reportedly planning a club record £30m bid for Borussia Dortmund's Mario Gotze.

Arsenal are reportedly planning a club record bid for Borussia Dortmund playmaker Mario Gotze.

The BVB youngster has a buy-out clause of around £30m, and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is willing to meet the valuation to bring him to the Emirates Stadium next season, according to the Daily Mail.

The attacking midfielder has been a key member of a Dortmund side that has reached the Champions League semi-final this season and Wenger sees the 20-year-old as the perfect addition to his squad, as the player is viewed as of the required standard at an age that would represent value for money.

According to the report, Wenger has £70m at his disposal this summer.
