Arsenal set to land Podolski

Arsenal have reportedly beaten off competition from Lazio to complete the signing of German striker Lukas Podolski.

Speculation over the 26-year-old's future has been rife in recent weeks, with both the Premier League and Serie A being touted as likely destinations.

However, The Mirror has now reported that Podolski has decided on a £10m move to the Emirates Stadium.

The German international, who has 95 caps to his name, will sign a five-year contract worth £80,000 a week.
