Lyon reject Cissokho loan bid from Arsenal

Lyon have reportedly rejected Arsenal's attempts to sign Aly Cissokho on loan for the rest of the season.

According to The Mirror Arsene Wenger wanted to take Cissokho from the French giants on a temporary basis after injuries to Andre Santos and Kieran Gibbs.

However, Lyon would apparently accept a permanent deal if a bid of £8m were offered.

Wenger is believed to disapprove of a permanent transfer after already spending money on a left-back in the form of Santos last summer.

Arsenal face Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday.
