Arsenal consider Thomas Vermaelen exit?

Arsenal are understood to be considering selling captain Thomas Vermaelen this summer.

The 27-year-old was used largely as a substitute towards the end of the season as the Gunners managed to qualify for the Champions League.

The Belgian could now leave the Emirates Stadium in the coming months for as little as £5m, according to The Sun.

Vermaelen's current deal with Arsenal is due to expire in 2015.
