Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Thursday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal will welcome Gabriel Martinelli back from suspension for Thursday's Premier League encounter with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.

The Brazilian attacker picked up a bizarre red card in the 1-0 win at Molineux earlier this season and sat out the 2-1 success over Brentford on Saturday.

Martinelli's return means that Mikel Arteta has no players absent for the clash between the two top-four rivals, with Takehiro Tomiyasu fit enough for a place on the bench at the weekend.

Cedric Soares has performed well in the absence of Tomiyasu this month, but the Japan international should return in an otherwise unchanged back four.

Thomas Partey pulled the strings in the Arsenal midfield against Brentford and should once again partner Granit Xhaka, whose armband snub stole the headlines at the weekend.

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard are indispensable in the final third, and Emile Smith Rowe's ninth goal of the league season ought to see him keep his place over the returning Martinelli, although the England international reportedly did not train on Tuesday.

Arteta may consider deploying the Olympic gold medallist or even Nicolas Pepe as the central striker here, but captain Alexandre Lacazette is unlikely to make way.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Lacazette
