Arsenal injury, suspension list and return dates for Crystal Palace: Bukayo Saka, Riccardo Calafiori latest

Saka status, Calafiori latest: Arsenal injury list for Crystal Palace clash

Knowing that defeat will officially hand Liverpool the Premier League title, Arsenal hope to delay the inevitable a little while longer when they host London rivals Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta's men kept their Anfield counterparts waiting thanks to a 4-0 thrashing of 10-man Ipswich Town on Easter Sunday, where Leandro Trossard was at the double while Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri also got in on the act.

However, the Gunners remain 13 points adrift of Liverpool with just 15 left to fight for, and the celebrations will begin on the red half of Merseyside if Palace can spring a surprise in the London derby.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Oliver Glasner's team, who held Bournemouth to a goalless stalemate over the Easter weekend despite a controversial dismissal.

Bukayo Saka

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: April 23 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Bukayo Saka was the victim of a horrendous challenge from Leif Davis at the weekend - one that earned the Ipswich left-back a red card - but Arteta played down the seriousness of his blow after the game, so he should be given the green light to play on Wednesday.

Jorginho

Status: Out Type of injury: Chest Possible return date: Unknown

Jorginho sustained a chest injury during the Gunners' home draw with Brentford two Saturdays ago, and the Italy international is not anticipated to return before the latter stages of the season.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

While Jorginho should play again this season, Gabriel Jesus may not play again this year, as the Brazilian's ACL injury may sideline him until the start of 2026.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Magalhaes has gone under the knife to treat the severe hamstring injury he picked up against Fulham at the start of April, and the centre-back is working to be fit for pre-season.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

The injury-riddled Takehiro Tomiyasu - who has played just one match all season - is on the mend from a knee operation and like Jesus may not play again until 2026 either.

Kai Havertz

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: May 25 (vs. Southampton)

Kai Havertz was initially expected to miss the rest of the season with the hamstring problem he sustained in Dubai, but as he is making great strides in his recovery, Arteta has now not ruled out the prospect of the Germany international making an appearance before the end of the season.

Riccardo Calafiori

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: April 29 (vs. Paris Saint-Germain)

Riccardo Calafiori's knee issue is expected to keep him out of this London derby, but Arteta is hopeful that he will be back in contention for next week's Champions League semi-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
