Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Arsenal will be bidding to avoid a fourth Premier League defeat on the bounce when Chelsea welcome them to Stamford Bridge for Wednesday's London derby.

The downward slump of Mikel Arteta's side continued with a 1-0 loss to Southampton on Saturday afternoon, as Jan Bednarek struck the only goal on the South Coast.

Taking zero points from a possible nine since the international break has seen Arsenal drop to sixth in the rankings, although they remain on the coat-tails of both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Blues.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Chelsea)

Takehiro Tomiyasu is due to return to team training before the trip to Stamford Bridge, but his lengthy absence and the quick turnaround means that Arteta will still act cautious over the right-back.

Thomas Partey

Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

The injury-plagued Thomas Partey sustained a serious thigh injury in the defeat to Crystal Palace earlier this month, and Arteta is not confident about his chances of playing again this season.

Kieran Tierney
