Arsene Wenger admits Wojciech Szczesny could leave Arsenal

Wenger: 'Szczesny could quit Arsenal'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that out-of-favour goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny could quit the club.

The Poland international was dropped by Wenger following the 2-0 defeat at Southampton on New Year's Day, after reportedly smoking in the showers.

David Ospina has since impressed in Premier League and Champions League outings, but Szczesny will start Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Reading at Wembley.

However, when asked if the 24-year-old had a long-term future in North London, the Frenchman told reporters: "I hope yes, but at the moment it is very difficult to answer that question. What is important is Saturday."

Szczesny had been the Gunners' number one since 2010 after replacing the injured Lukasz Fabianski.
