Theo Walcott pulls out of England squad

Theo Walcott has pulled out of the England squad that is due to take on Italy tomorrow night with a thigh problem.

The 23-year-old suffered bruising to his upper leg during Arsenal's 4-0 win over FC Koln in a pre-season friendly over the weekend.

While the injury is not thought to be too serious, Walcott has been left out of the party that will travel to Switzerland later today as a precaution.

The Football Association have confirmed that no replacement will be called up in his place.
