Robson: 'Wilshere needs more goals'

Former England captain Bryan Robson believes that Jack Wilshere needs to score more goals from midfield.

Former England captain Bryan Robson has claimed that Jack Wilshere needs to improve his form in front of goal.

The Arsenal midfielder recently withdrew from the Three Lions squad to face the Republic of Ireland and Brazil with an ankle injury.

"Jack is more or less an attacking midfield player but he doesn't score enough goals," Robson is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "So he has either got to get his timing right to get into the box to score more or he has to practice on the training pitch how to actually finish how Steven Gerrard would."

Wilshere scored two goals in 33 games for the Gunners last season and has failed to find the net in any of his seven previous appearances for the national side.
