Pep Guardiola: Arsene Wenger will make "right decision" on Arsenal future

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claims that Arsene Wenger will make "the right decision" regarding his future at Arsenal.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has claimed that Arsene Wenger knows how to 'handle his situation' at Arsenal.

Twice in the space of five days, City have recorded 3-0 wins over the Gunners, the second of which took place in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

Wenger is coming under increasing pressure to end his time with the North London outfit, but Guardiola has suggested that his counterpart will come to "the right decision" for both himself and the club.

The 47-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "He knows my admiration for him. We play, we fight many, many times in Barcelona, a lot of times in Bayern Munich, a lot of times here in Premier League. A lot of times.

"I can understand the situation. I know all the managers can be in that situation. He knows, he handles that situation. He has a lot of experience.

"He knows the club, he knows the Premier League, he knows his players. And I'm sure he's going to take the right decision, for the club, for him, for the players, for everybody."

City now sit 30 points clear of Arsenal in the top-flight standings.
