Graham: "Arsenal are in crisis"

Arsenal legend George Graham has said that his former club are "in crisis" under Arsene Wenger.

Graham, who won the double with the Gunners in 1971 and led them to league titles as manager in 1989 and 1991, believes that the club has been in decline in recent years.

"Yes, Arsenal are in crisis. It has been slipping away for the last couple of years," he said.

"They've not been replacing those players who left four or five years ago.

"They're lacking leaders and the quality of the players they're bringing in is just not up to the standard if you want to win the Premier League."

Graham also said that Theo Walcott should be sold, adding that the winger has not lived up to his potential.

"I would let Walcott go," Graham said.

"He was a promising boy but his potential has never really been fulfilled.

"He has still got fabulous pace but he's been there five years and I can't see a great improvement."

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League, 10 points off third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
