Olivier Giroud: 'Every game is now a cup final for Arsenal'

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud says that he is treating each Premier League match until the end of the season like a cup final.

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has said that he is treating each Premier League match until the end of the season like a cup final.

The Frenchman scored his 20th goal of the campaign as the Gunners claimed a 3-1 victory over West Ham United on Tuesday evening to move up to fourth place in the table.

Giroud has admitted that while the Londoners are dependent on Everton dropping points, he is confident that if they win all their remaining fixtures they will be playing Champions League football next season.

"I enjoy my stats because when you are a striker you think that we are looking for the stats and assists as well," he told Arsenal's official website. "I am OK with my stats but I know the team will need me again for the last [four] Premier League games. So I need to score again and again.

"We need to win the last four 'finals' because we don't have our destiny in our hands. I hope Everton will lose against maybe Manchester United this weekend. We keep focusing on what we have to do and win our games. After that we will see but first we have to do the job."

Arsenal have qualified for the Champions League for 16 successive years.
