Olivier Giroud has revealed that he wants a move to the Premier League, but only after winning the Ligue 1 title with Montpellier.
The French international has been linked with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in recent times and although he has ambitions of playing in England in the future, his immediate focus is on his current club's title charge.
"Since very early in 2010, when Celtic and Middlesbrough showed interest, I have always dreamt about England," Giroud told L'Equipe.
"Why did I choose Montpellier? I listened to my agent and the people around me. They advised me to first try Ligue 1. I was obsessed by England but I put that aside.
"I want to leave a mark on Ligue 1 in my time. I want people to one day say 'I remember Giroud, the one who led Montpellier to the Champions League'. I do this job to leave a mark, for the people around me to be proud."
Giroud is the top scorer in Ligue 1 this season with 18 goals in 27 appearances.
