Olivier Giroud backs "fantastic" Jeff Reine-Adelaide to shine for Arsenal

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud tips 17-year-old teammate Jeff Reine-Adelaide to enjoy a "fantastic" future in North London.

Olivier Giroud has said that Arsenal teammate Jeff Reine-Adelaide will be fast-tracked to stardom after his impressive pre-season with the Gunners.

The 17-year-old offered a glimpse into his "fantastic" potential by stealing the headlines from the North Londoners' Emirates Cup campaign late last month.

Afterwards, manager Arsene Wenger labelled the young winger as "special", and Giroud feels that Reine-Adelaide will be a household name in the near future.

"I knew that he was in the Under-17 European Championship-winning side last summer," he told the Arsenal website.

"We have seen him on the pitch recently and he has shown his qualities. I think he's quite mature for his age.

"He's got a really good mentality and if he's listening to the advice around him from his teammates, he could improve very quickly. His potential is fantastic."

Reine-Adelaide joined the club from the Lens academy, along with Yassin Fortune.
