Cesc Febregas has again been linked with a move back to Barcelona, it has been reported.
The Spanish international was the subject of a £29m bid by Barcelona, whose academy he attended, last summer but Arsenal refused the offer.
Insiders have now suggested that the Gunners may be willing to let the captain go for £35m, making a hefty profit on the £500,000 they purchased him for in 2003.
“There is a feeling Cesc has gone as far as he can with Arsenal,” a source told The Sun. “He has been with us eight years and believes he has shown great loyalty. The team will finish the season empty-handed again and he fears that situation will not change.”
The 23-year-old has three years to run on his current contract.
