Cesc Fabregas: 'La Liga harder than Premier League'

Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas addresses the differences between the Premier League and La Liga.

Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas has declared that La Liga is much harder to win than the English Premier League.

The former Arsenal midfielder said that Spanish teams are better organised than their English counterparts, and are more difficult to score against.

"When I returned to Spain I was taken aback by the fact that La Liga is harder to win than the Premier League," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"In England it's easier to win the league, because even if you lose five or six games you still have a good chance.

"Spanish teams are better prepared tactically. It is more difficult to score and assist here as there is less freedom and more pressing. England is more fun because it is less defensive."

Barcelona are currently top of La Liga with 15 points from five games.
