Emmanuel Eboue pelted with missles

Galatasaray full-back Emmanuel Eboue had a number of objects hurled at him during his side's league match against Besiktas yesterday evening.

The former Arsenal defender was pelted on numerous occasions while taking throw-ins and during general play.

There is nothing to suggest that the incidents were racially motivated, although it will do little to help Turkish football's reputation.

Eboue joined Gala during the summer for a reported £3m fee.
