Nicklas Bendtner undergoes surgery

Juventus have confirmed that Nicklas Bendtner has undergone surgery to repair a leg injury.

The striker picked up the thigh injury last week in a Coppa Italia match against Cagliari.

A statement on the club's website said: "[Bendtner] was operated on in London last night by Arsenal consultant Ernest Schilders, for the reinsertion of the adductor longus tendon in his left thigh.

"His prognosis and rehabilitation schedule will be verified with English doctors over the next few days."

The Dane is on loan at the Italian champions from Arsenal.
