Arsene Wenger expecting Jack Wilshere return in three weeks

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals that midfielder Jack Wilshere is roughly three weeks away from a full recovery following a two-month absence with injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is optimistic that Jack Wilshere could return to first-team action in three weeks.

The 23-year-old has been absent with an ankle injury for two months, and Wenger believes that the England midfielder could be back by mid-February.

Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of this evening's FA Cup trip to Brighton & Hove Albion, he said: "If he has no setback instead of being back the end of February, he could be back in mid-February."

Wilshere had made 13 appearances in all competitions this season prior to his injury against Manchester United.
