Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester City

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

Arsenal will be looking to reach the FA Cup final for a record 21st time on Saturday when they take on Manchester City in the semi-finals of the competition.

The Gunners, who have won the tournament on more occasions than any other side (13), will enter the match off the back of a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta's side dispatched Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of this competition last month, meanwhile, and would face either Chelsea or Manchester United in the final should they triumph on Saturday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash.

Mesut Ozil

Possible return date: July 18 (vs. Man City)

Ozil has not featured since the return of football last month, with a back problem recently keeping him on the sidelines. The issue is not thought to be serious, though, and he could be involved in this match.

Gabriel Martinelli

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Martinelli will not feature again this season after undergoing surgery on his left knee last month. The Brazilian is on course to return to the field later this year, though.

The Germany international is expected to return to training before the end of the season, although it remains to be seen whether he will play a part before the campaign finishes.
