How Liverpool could line up against Arsenal

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League game between Liverpool and Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at how the Merseyside giants could line up at Anfield.

Liverpool play host to Arsenal on Saturday afternoon, with the two sides having recorded successive wins at the beginning of the new Premier League campaign.

The Merseyside giants have got the better of Norwich City and Southampton, while the Gunners have fought their way to narrow victories over Newcastle United and Burnley.

There will now be a desire to maintain an advantage in the title race, with Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Chelsea having already dropped points.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Liverpool could line up for the showdown at Anfield.

Doubtful: Naby Keita (muscle)

Ahead of the match with Southampton last weekend, Jurgen Klopp had to contemplate rotating his players as a result of the UEFA Super Cup final with Chelsea less than 72 hours earlier.

However, having had a week of preparation in the North-West, Klopp will name what he regards to be his best possible XI for this game.

There will likely be two alterations in midfield, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson being restored to the starting lineup in place of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner.

A third could be made in the centre of defence, although Joel Matip is arguably the favourite to keep Joe Gomez out of the team.

The front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino should remain the same, while Adrian will continue to deputise for the injured Alisson.
