Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Dundalk

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Dundalk

Mikel Arteta will be after a swift response from his Arsenal side when they travel to Dundalk in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The Gunners fell to a 2-0 defeat to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the weekend and are down in 15th.

However, Arteta's men have fared a lot better in Europe, winning all five of their Group B games to make sure of top spot with this game against Dundalk to spare.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Martinelli is a long-term absentee for Arsenal and is not expected back until next year. The young forward last featured for the senior side in June, though he did play for the Under-23s in midweek.

David Luiz

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Head Possible return date: December 10 (vs. Dundalk)

David Luiz was involved in a nasty clash of heads with Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez and has missed Arsenal's last two games. However, he should be given the green light to feature in this one, if required.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: December 19 (vs. Everton)

Thomas Partey returned to action slightly ahead of schedule against Tottenham, but he limped off at the end of the first half and has been ruled out by Arteta "for a few games".

Calum Chambers

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: December 10 (vs. Dundalk)

Centre-back Calum Chambers made his long-awaited return from injury against Rapid Vienna last week, but he was not part of Arteta's squad to face Tottenham. It is likely that the Spaniard is easing Chambers back into action, so he should be involved here.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Nicolas Pepe is continuing to serve a three-match domestic ban, but he is eligible for selection in Europe.
