Liam Brady: 'Arsenal can beat Bayern Munich'

Arsenal legend Liam Brady believes that the Gunners are capable of beating Bayern Munich if they play like they did in the win against Manchester United.

Arsenal legend Liam Brady has stated that the Gunners are capable of beating Bayern Munich if they can replicate the performance that they put in against Manchester United.

Arsene Wenger's side go into tonight's Champions League encounter with the Bundesliga giants off the back of defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos in their first two games in the competition.

However, Brady has said that the North Londoners should look to their 3-0 victory over United a fortnight ago for inspiration.

"If they turn up and play like they did against Manchester United, we can beat them, and we have got to believe that," he told talkSPORT.

"You can build teams up and think they are unbeatable and I don't think Bayern are in that situation. We have got to believe we can do it. Over the next two games we have got Bayern back-to-back and we need three points from somewhere.

"We can beat Zagreb when we play them again and we can beat Olympiacos when we play them again so if we were to get nine that would give us every chance of getting through in second place behind Bayern. But somewhere along the line, we have to win a game against Bayern."

Arsenal lost 3-1 on aggregate when the sides last met in the quarter-finals in 2013-14.
