Sunday's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup: Dani Ceballos, Shkodran Mustafi, Matteo Guendouzi

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Arsenal on Sunday, July 12.

The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Arsenal eye possible reinforcements.

The Gunners spent more than many expected during the summer - most notably their club-record purchase of Nicolas Pepe - but were more reserved in January as they focused on bolstering their defensive options.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.

Sunday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:

Zinedine Zidane admits James Rodriguez may never play for Real Madrid again

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has conceded that James Rodriguez may have played his final game for Los Blancos following a turbulent campaign.

The Colombia international has stepped out onto the pitch just eight times during the 2019-20 La Liga season and has not been in Zidane's squad for their last two matches.

Speculation has been rife surrounding Rodriguez's future following his struggles at the Bernabeu recently, and when asked in a news conference if the midfielder would pull on a Real Madrid shirt again, Zidane simply said: "I don't know."

Rodriguez has only played 78 minutes of football since the Spanish top flight returned to action, starting in Madrid's victory over Real Sociedad before being replaced by Marco Asensio.

With Rodriguez's current deal in the Spanish capital set to expire next summer, Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Arsenal and Everton are all said to be closely monitoring the situation.

The 29-year-old has scored 37 goals in 125 appearances for Los Blancos since arriving from Monaco in 2014.

Philippe Coutinho 'sets deadline for decision on future'

Barcelona attacker Philippe Coutinho will reportedly make a decision on his future once Bayern Munich's 2019-20 campaign has officially come to a close.

The Brazil international has spent the current season with Bayern and will be with the German champions until their participation in the Champions League is over.

Coutinho is allegedly surplus to requirements at Barca, with the Spanish champions thought to be keen to sell him in order to raise funds to bring Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez to Camp Nou.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the South American is currently fully focused on Bayern, meaning that he has put all talk of his future on hold until August.

The Bundesliga giants are on course to make the quarter-finals of the Champions League as they have a 3-0 advantage over Chelsea after the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have all previously been linked with the 28-year-old, who has scored nine times and contributed eight assists in 34 appearances for Der FCB this term.
