Alejandro Sabella undecided on Argentina future

Sabella undecided on future

Alejandro Sabella has revealed that he is likely to decide whether to carry on as Argentina manager before next week.

The 59-year-old suffered disappointment with his players in the World Cup final as a Mario Gotze winner secured the title for Germany at the Maracana, and it still remains unclear if a new coach will be drafted in as a replacement in the near future.

"First of all, I don't know what the idea of the AFA is about my future, and I have to rest a few days," Sabella told TYC Sports. "I won't hold things up much because I'm a responsible person. I'll think about it this weekend and I'll call [AFA president] Julio Grondona to meet him.

"I will only continue being the manager if I can give 100% of my energy, as I ask of my players."

Sabella became Argentina manager in July 2011.
