Kingsley Coman is reportedly edging closer to completing a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week that Al-Nassr had agreed a deal with Bayern worth €30m (£26m) to sign the 29-year-old winger, who is expected to sign a three-year contract.
Now, Romano states that Coman has been given the green light by Bayern to travel to the Middle East on Thursday ahead of undergoing a medical and finalising his transfer in the ‘next hours’.
The France international has spent the last eight years with Bayern and in that time has contributed with 72 goals and 71 assists in 339 appearances across all competitions.
Following the arrival of Luis Diaz at the Allianz Arena earlier this summer, Coman is seemingly ready to seek pastures new after winning 20 trophies at Bayern, including his ninth Bundesliga title last season.
Coman is now set follow Joao Felix and Inigo Martinez in joining Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, who finished third in last season’s Saudi Pro League, 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
Bayern told to bid €75m for Woltemade
Bayern are hoping to use some of the funds generated from the sale of Coman to sign long-term target Nick Woltemade before the September 1 transfer deadline.
Sky Deutschland reports that the Bundesliga champions have made an offer of €60m (£51.6m) plus bonuses for the 23-year-old striker, but that bid has been rejected by Stuttgart according to the player’s agent Danny Bachmann.
“The solution demanded by Mr Wehrle this week within a questionable deadline was delivered today,” Bachmann said as quoted by Kicker. “The total package exceeded €60m and a re-sale clause was included.”
Stuttgart are demanding a higher fee for Woltemade, with Bachmann adding: “The response from the supervisory board [of Stuttgart] regarding a demand of €75m (£64.5m) is not only completely unfounded, but is also in stark contradiction to the aforementioned agreements.”
“Stuttgart have repeatedly promised to help Nick find a solution for the next step in his career.”
It remains to be seen whether Bayern are willing to meet Stuttgart’s latest demands for Woltemade, who scored 17 goals in 33 appearances across the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal last season.
The 6ft 6in striker followed up his impressive campaign at club level by winning the Golden Boot at the Under-21 European Championship after scoring six goals in just five games for runners-up Germany.
Edouard wants to join Nice from Crystal Palace
Elsewhere, Nice are allegedly advancing in talks with Crystal Palace over a deal to sign striker Odsonne Edouard.
La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported that the Ligue 1 club have weighed up a potential move for Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi.
However, Foot Mercato claims that Nice are also exploring the English market and have made inroads with Palace in their pursuit of 27-year-old Frenchman Edouard.
It is understood that Edouard has already turned down a summer switch to La Liga side Girona, but he is keen to return to his homeland and wants to move to Nice.
Edouard began his career at Paris Saint-Germain and also experienced a loan spell at Toulouse before enjoying a prolific four-year spell with Scottish giants Celtic between 2017 and 2021, scoring 87 goals in 179 appearances.
However, he has struggled to make the same impact in front of goal for Palace, netting only 21 times in 103 games, and has subsequently fallen down the pecking order at Selhurst Park.
Edouard is keen to reignite his career after a disappointing loan spell at Leicester City last season, featuring just four times in the Premier League as the Foxes suffered relegation.
