Laurent Fournier demands respect

Auxerre boss Laurent Fournier has criticised his doubters with the club sitting in the relegation zone in Ligue 1.

Auxerre have managed just one win from their last 10 league games, with Fournier attracting a host of criticism.

The former French boss, however, has insisted that he has the full support of the club's president Gerard Bourgoin.

"I know some people would like me to be sacked. Representatives have called to offer their coaches and other coaches are making enquiries," Fournier told L'Equipe.

"But I have the full support of Gerard Bourgoin. If anyone has to fire me, it's him. All the time, I'm asking myself questions and I know there is an injection seat. In this difficult sport, I really think everyone should be supportive."

Auxerre face Rennes on Sunday.
