Cameroon have suspended coach Denis Lavagne following their shock defeat to Cape Verde in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
The four-time winners were humbled 2-0 by a team ranked 65th in the world on Saturday in the first leg of their qualifier.
Lavagne has now been suspended with full pay until the end of his contract in October.
Meanwhile, Jean Paul Akono has been appointed as the interim coach of the team.
