League Two roundup: Oxford United close gap on league leaders Plymouth Argyle

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's League Two action as Oxford United close the gap on leaders Plymouth Argyle.

Oxford United have closed the gap on the league leaders Plymouth Argyle to just two points after a late Kemar Roofe goal sealed all three points against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Plymouth missed out on the chance of extending their lead at the top of the table by five points, after they lost 2-1 at home to Exeter City.

Danny Grainger scored a 95-minute equaliser to secure a point for Carlisle United against Portsmouth after two goals in two minutes from Caolan Lavery and Marc McNulty nearly won the game for Portsmouth.

Northampton Town stay third, as Brendon Moloney scored midway through the second half to pick up three away points against Notts County.

Accrington Stanley have kept the pace with League Two's top three clubs by moving up to fourth, after they came from behind twice to beat Cambridge United 3-2 away from home.

Ade Azeez scored a last-gasp equaliser for AFC Wimbledon at home to Wycombe Wanderers, who led the game through Jason McCarthy's opener.

A brace from Matt Green and a third from Adi Yussuf sealed a 3-1 victory over Hartlepool United for Mansfield Town, as they stay in the hunt for a playoff place.

Leyton Orient got back to winning ways after their 3-1 defeat to Pools last Sunday, as they beat York City 3-2 at home.

Ten-man Luton Town managed to hold on to a point in their 0-0 draw with Stevenage, after Paul Benson saw red at the end of the game.

A quick double from Rhys Murphy in the opening 10 minutes was enough for Crawley Town to take all three points against Bristol Rovers, despite a late scare from a Matt Taylor penalty for the visitors.

Barnet and Morecambe played out one of the three stalemates in this round of fixtures, as Newport County and Yeovil Town also failed to score in their game.
