Nigel de Jong commits to AC Milan

Nigel de Jong has signed a new three-year deal at AC Milan to put an end to speculation over his future.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Rossoneri from Manchester City in 2012, has been the subject of repeated rumours regarding a return to the Premier League.

However, the 81-cap Netherlands international has now agreed fresh terms at San Siro to keep him in place until 2018.

De Jong's deal was due to expire at the end of this month.
