Benfica target AC Milan's Taye Taiwo

AC Milan full-back Taye Taiwo is a January transfer window target for Portuguese club Benfica, according to Calciomercato.

The 26-year-old has only been at the San Siro since July but has reportedly been told by coach Massimiliano Allegri that he can find another team.

Allegri is believed to have identified Barcelona's Brazilian defender Maxwell as an ideal replacement for the Nigerian international.

Taiwo has made five appearances for the Rossoneri since his summer move from Marseille.
