Carlo Ancelotti believes that Paris Saint-German could have picked up maximum points at Marseille and admits that his side did not play well.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that his side "could have won" against Marseille in their Ligue 1 clash on Sunday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice for PSG at Stade Velodrome as the Parisian outfit drew 2-2 with L'OM.

"We did not have a great game, it's true," said Ancelotti after the match. "We should have exercised better control and should have tried to score again after taking the lead.

"This is not a bad result. We even could have won. We took the lead but we were not able to control the game then.

"It's a shame because we could have won. We gave a good performance with a good grasp of the game and a good state of mind."

The result means that PSG remain three points behind leaders Marseille in second place in the league table with 16 points from eight games.
