Massimo Abrosini blames AC Milan's start to the serie A season on a "psycholgical block".

Massimo Ambrosini has admitted that AC Milan's poor early-season firm has left the dressing room feeling "worried".

The Rossoneri slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Atalanta on Saturday night, their second in as many home games this season.

Ambrosini said that the team is suffering from a "psychological block" at the moment, but stressed that they must not use the high-profile departures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva as an excuse.

"We have a psychological block and have to give something more, on a physical and mental level, to emerge from this period," Football Italia has quoted theMilan captain as saying.

"We aren't feeling the enthusiasm and are a little more worried than usual at the moment.

"This team can do well and the departure of so many players this summer must no longer be an alibi."

The last time Milan lost their opening two home games of the Serie A season was 1930.
