AIK Stockholm cancel AC Milan friendly because of departing Zlatan Ibrahimovic

AIK Stockholm have cancelled their scheduled pre-season friendly against AC Milan as it seems that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not take part.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi revealed that he had sold Ibrahimovic and Brazilian defender Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week.

AIK have therefore cancelled the friendly meant to take place at the Rasunda stadium on August 12.

"Unfortunately, a number of external circumstances meant that we took a joint decision not to stage the match this time," AIK managing director Thomas Edselius said.

Ibrahimovic, 30, scored 28 goals in 32 appearances for the Rossoneri last term.
