AC Milan confirm Kaka's Champions League exit clause

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani confirms that Kaka has a release clause allowing him to leave should the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has confirmed that playmaker Kaka has an exit clause allowing him to leave at the end of the season should the club not qualify for the Champions League.

Kaka marked his 300th appearance for the Italian giants with two goals in the 3-0 win over Chievo in Serie A on Saturday.

However, prior to the game, the Brazilian hinted that he would like to move to an MLS side once he leaves Milan, but insisted that he is in "no hurry" to end his second spell at the club.

"It's very simple. Kaka has a contract until June 30 2015," Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

"But if we don't qualify for the Champions League then he has a clause allowing him to leave. We will discuss it, but I firmly believe he will stay."

Orlando City are said to be the side interested in signing Kaka from Milan.
