France's Paul Omba Biongolo's coach slams judges' decisions

France boxer Paul Omba Biongolo's coach John-Toni Dovi suggests that the judges' decisions in his player's fight against Azerbaijan's Abdulkadir Abdullayev were political.

France boxer Paul Omba Biongolo's coach John-Toni Dovi has slammed the decision of the judges to award a unanimous victory to Azerbaijan's Abdulkadir Abdullayev in their fight at the European Games.

Abdullayev won every round of their bout in the quarter-finals of the Games, but Dovi is adamant that the scoring was not a fair reflection of the fight and has claimed that the decisions were political.

He told reporters: "Every judge scored a loss for our boxer in every round. It was definitely not that kind of fight.

"It's all about politics, so what can I say? When things like this happen, how do I motivate my fighters to come down and train tomorrow?"

Abdullayev will face the Russian Federation's Sadem Magomedov in the next round of the competition.
