Warren Baister "devastated" after quarter-final loss

Team England boxer Warren Baister has admitted that he was "devastated" to bow out in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday.

Heavyweight Baister lost on points to Canada's Samir El-Mais in Glasgow, with two of the three judges present awarding El-Mais the victory.

"I am devastated. I had my eyes set on the gold and I cannot believe it," he told reporters.
