Warren Baister 'thought he had won'

Team England boxer Warren Baister reveals his disappointment after losing in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games.

Team England boxer Warren Baister thought that he had done enough to overcome Canada's Samir El-Mais in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday.

El-Mais advanced courtesy of a split decision, but Baister believes that he did "the better boxing" during the last-eight contest in Glasgow.

"I thought I had done the better work. A lot of his work was rushed and he was scuffing round my gloves and stuff, whereas I was hitting him with clean, clean shots," he told Sports Mole.

"I thought I had done the better boxing. He was just rushing in and missing a lot."

El-Mais is now guaranteed at least a bronze medal at the Games.
