Trevor Ariza has said that the Washington Wizards' triple overtime victory against the Toronto Raptors was a "great win" for the team.
The small forward added the game-winning points in the third extra period, giving the Wizards their fifth straight victory.
The 28-year-old told reporters: "I was ready for this one tonight. It was the longest game in the world. You give it all so at the end of the game you're just totally drained.
"It's a great win for us. They took us all the way to the wire. Earlier in the season we probably would have dropped our heads when they told us that it didn't count and we have to play again. Tonight just shows that we're growing and we're getting better."
Ariza finished the game with 16 points.
