Tyson Chandler felt like New York Knicks scapegoat

Dallas Mavericks center Tyson Chandler has revealed that he felt like a scapegoat "at times" during last season with the New York Knicks.

Chandler was dealt to the Mavs in a six-player deal in June with new Knicks president Phil Jackson citing a desire to change the chemistry of the franchise.

"At times, at times, at times," Chandler told ESPN when asked if he felt like he was made a scapegoat for the team's struggles.

"But I feel like New York made me a lot stronger, a lot stronger of a person going through trials and tribulations there. But that's life."

Chandler, who will face the Knicks on Wednesday night for the first time since his trade to Dallas, is averaging 10.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for the Mavs who are 10-5 for the season.
