Monty Williams: 'Jrue Holiday deserves credit for crucial play'

New Orleans Pelicans head coach Monty Williams refuses to take credit for Jrue Holiday's game-winning play in the game against the Chicago Bulls.

New Orleans Pelicans head coach Monty Williams has claimed that Jrue Holiday deserves the credit for the game-winning play in the victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday.

A three-point play from Holiday with 2.6 seconds left earned the Pelicans a 131-128 triumph in triple-overtime but Williams believes his timeout moments earlier wasn't crucial.

"That's just something stupid," Williams told reporters. "Jrue just makes the play. I'm not that bright. Sometimes I try to out-think myself. He just made a great play.

"I'd love to tell you I'm that bright, but I'm not. We draw it up for a certain thing to happen, and he just made a good play. All the credit goes to him."

The result was Chicago's first home defeat of the season.
