Blazers come from behind to beat Heat

The Portland Trail Blazers dominated the second half to secure a 99-83 win over the Miami Heat at the Moda Center in the NBA.

Dwyane Wade got the visitors off to a bright start, making a string of early baskets as Miami opened up a five-point advantage in the first quarter.

Portland ensured that the Heat did not add to their lead before the break though, and came out strongly in the second half.

Wesley Matthews and Damian Lillard made back-to-back three-pointers shortly after the restart, before Chris Kaman added a run of six points in a row as the Blazers outscored Miami 33-16 in the third quarter.

LaMarcus Aldridge ensured that the points kept coming, finishing the game with 24 points and 12 rebounds to end any hope of a Heat comeback.

The result keeps the Blazers second in the Western Conference, while Miami cling to the final playoff place in the East.
