Gregg Popovich still not over Game 6 loss

Popovich still not over Game 6 loss

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has revealed that he still thinks about Game 6 of the NBA Finals last season.

The Spurs were seemingly heading for victory and the NBA championship at the AA Arena, but were undone with a late three from Ray Allen.

While Popovic admits that he still thinks about it, he shared a story his daughter told him in a bid to ensure he moves on.

"OK, Dad, let me get this straight: You won four championships, and you go to a fifth Finals. Other coaches lose all the time. But poor Greggy can't lose because he's special. Can you please get over yourself? End of story," she told him, he revealed to the San Antonio Express News.

Popovich admitted that he laughed and her words put him "on the path to recovery", but he is still looking forward to forgetting last year's disappointment.
