Miami Heat land eight-year veteran guard Shannon Brown

The Miami Heat confirm the signing of eight-year veteran guard Shannon Brown as they look to rebuild after the recent departure of LeBron James.

The Miami Heat have announced the signing of veteran guard Shannon Brown.

Brown has spent eight years in the NBA where he has featured in 403 regular-season games, averaging 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

The guard, who won back-to-back championships with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010, spent last season split between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks.

Brown was originally a Draft pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2006.
