Shabazz Napier ruled out for rest of season due to injury

Miami Heat guard Shabazz Napier will miss the remainder of the regular season through injury.

The 23-year-old had surgery on a sports hernia injury in Miami today, but the team hopes that he may return for the playoffs, should they get there.

Napier hasn't featured too heavily since the beginning of March due to the form of Tyler Johnson, but the Heat will be optimistic that he can rediscover his early-season form if he does return for the playoffs.

Napier averages 5.1 points a game and 2.5 assists.
