NBA roundup: Kyrie Irving leads Cleveland Cavaliers to win

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Thursday's games in the NBA.

Kyrie Irving scored a career-high 57 to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to an overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Cavaliers needed a string of points from the Australian late in regulation to force the additional spell, but he kept finding the basket, scoring 11 more in overtime to secure the win, ending the NBA champions' six-game winning streak.

The Indiana Pacers needed overtime to clinch a narrow win over the Milwaukee Bucks after the visitors came from behind late in regulation.

The Pacers were five up with less than three minutes to play, but Ersan Ilyasova turned the game around, levelling the scores for the Bucks.

Milwaukee took an early lead in overtime, but George Hill eventually added a couple of free throws to put Indiana back in front, handing them their ninth win in 10 games since the All-Star break.

The Washington Wizards recovered from a slow start to record a comfortable win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Despite resting several of their starters, the Grizzlies looked on strong shooting form in the first quarter, but John Wall led the Wizards to a lead, finishing the game with 21 points.

The Utah Jazz continued their recent run of wins with their ninth in 11 outings, beating the Houston Rockets.

Rudy Gobert ensured that the home side took an early lead and continued to pull away in the first three quarters, while Rockets guard James Harden was restricted to 15 while trying to get Houston back into the game late on.

The New York Knicks ended their five-game run without a win with victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center.

The visitors took control in the second quarter, with Tim Hardaway Jr and Andrea Bargnani combining for 38 to make sure of the win.
